ANNIE'S LEGACY: An Evening with Georgia Katinas and Erik Piepenburg

In his new book, DINING OUT, the New York Times writer Erik Piepenburg explores 100 years of where LGBTQ people have eaten and why it matters. Among the many restaurants in his book is Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse, a James Beard Award-winning eatery that has been a pillar in Washington’s gay dining scene for decades. To celebrate the book’s official publication date, Piepenburg joins Georgia Katinas, whose family owns and runs Annie’s, for a lively discussion about the important role Annie’s and other gay-welcoming restaurants have played when it comes to making memories over meals.
