Pride 365 The Soundtrack of Pride - All Year Long

There are some movies that you admire, some that you appreciate, and then there are movies that simply make you have fun.
Forgotten Island is very much the latter.
From the moment the adventure begins, the film throws you into a world that feels wonderfully unpredictable, wildly imaginative and completely unafraid to embrace its own sense of fun. I laughed a lot. I smiled even more. And by the time the credits rolled, I found myself thinking about just how refreshing it is to watch a movie that seems genuinely excited about the world it has created.
This is a film with imagination to spare.
What makes Forgotten Island particularly enjoyable is the way it blends its larger-than-life adventure with a wonderful sense of humor. There is a playful quality running through the entire movie, and it never feels like the filmmakers are afraid to let the story get a little weird, a little ridiculous or a little unexpected. In fact, those moments are part of what makes the movie work.
And underneath all of that adventure and comedy is something much more meaningful: friendship.
At its heart, Forgotten Island is about the connections we make and the people who become our family along the way. The characters may find themselves in extraordinary circumstances, but the emotional foundation of the story remains surprisingly relatable. It’s about trust, loyalty, finding your people and discovering that friendship can carry you through even the most unexpected adventures.

Friendships are forever.
That message gives the movie its heart without weighing down all of the fun.
And then there’s the incredible animation.
Forgotten Island is a beautifully animated film, filled with visual spectacle and a world that feels like it was designed to let the audience’s own imaginations run wild. There is a sense of discovery to the way the story unfolds, and the animation style gives the filmmakers an enormous playground in which to tell it.
But perhaps one of the most exciting things about Forgotten Island is what it represents beyond the story itself.
For Filipino audiences, seeing Filipino characters, voices and culture represented on screen in a major animated adventure like this is something worth celebrating. Representation matters, particularly when it isn’t simply a character being inserted into someone else’s story, but when Filipino identity and talent are part of the fabric of the film itself.
For Filipino families and audiences, Forgotten Island offers an opportunity to see themselves in a big, imaginative cinematic world and, just as importantly, to share that experience with audiences who may be discovering those voices and stories for the first time.
That makes the film feel bigger than just another animated adventure.

And the voice cast deserves plenty of credit. The performances bring personality, humor and heart to these characters, making the emotional beats land while keeping the energy of the movie moving. A great animated film depends heavily on the voices behind its characters, and Forgotten Island has a cast that clearly understands the assignment. H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, and Jo Koy all shoot for the stars and bring this story to life.
Ultimately, though, my biggest takeaway from Forgotten Island is wonderfully simple: I laughed my butt off. I loved the imagination of it. I loved how beautifully it was animated. I loved the characters, the friendships and the sheer creativity of the world the filmmakers built.
Sometimes a movie doesn’t need to be complicated to make an impact. Sometimes you just need a great adventure, characters you want to spend time with, and a story that reminds you why the people beside you matter.
Forgotten Island has all of that.
